A few years ago, the idea of EcoTech Miami Gardens was in its early stages of development by Dr. Panda Gibson. Today, EcoTech Visions is a thriving business and foundation within the Green Corridor of Miami, and its impact on the city and the surrounding area is already being noted.
EcoTech Miami Gardens is not your typical company, consulting firm, and community resource, but it is a combination of all three of those things. It is a small business incubator and maker space that is dedicated to promoting green businesses and manufacturing throughout the area. It is also a foundation, with a range of programs to help people to move from blue collar jobs to green technology careers.
The building itself is a tribute to green technology. It features a green rooftop area, a vertical farm, a range of different meeting, training and conference rooms, as well as a prototyping lab. With solar panels and environmentally friendly building options, the building itself is an example of how green technology can be integrated into the community for a sustainable environment.
For small businesses and those with an idea for green manufacturing, production, and technology, the incubator and maker space is the ideal option. Monthly memberships and individual services are extremely reasonably priced, allowing access to offices, business technology and equipment, coaching services and marketing and training.
To date, EcoTech Miami Gardens has assisted 75 local businesses to achieve success in the green technology industry. These businesses range from technology-based services to terraforming technology, sustainable farming and food production, green energy production, and the manufacturing of consumer goods that are also good for the environment.
In addition, EcoTech Visions also provides a free Digital Bootcamp for people in the community, training them in IT services to allow access to better jobs in a historically underserved area of the city.
